launches Situation Analysis and
Response System (SARS).

Larimore Associates, Inc., the leader in custom-designed public safety software,
has announced the availability of its new Situation Analysis and
Response System (SARS). This system provides an efficient way for department
personnel to identify a situation, track occurrences, formulate a response and
analyze results. Response assessments can then be applied to the various tasks
in an effort to assist in the assignment of future tasks of similar situations.
The SARS program maintains
complete record-keeping capabilities for all situations. Each situation file
has a full description of the problem situation, along with separate records for
analysis, assignments given, work completed and assessments. Multiple records
can be created for each of these aspects of the process.
As a database of these records is accumulated over time, it creates a
comprehensive record of situations and responses. This data can then be
consulted and analyzed whenever department personnel are preparing a response to
a situation that is similar to those that have been handled in the past. The
system allows the department to view which responses have been the most
effective, as well as the least effective, in the past.
In addition, SARS allows for constant modifications to a situation. As
responses are applied and assessments are made, any situation can be reviewed and
searched. Then new assignments can be formulated and applied, as the situation
requires.
Access to the Larimore SARS
is controlled by security that allows supervisors to review entire records while
still allowing officers to enter personal work records without gaining access to
the program overview. Each member of the department therefore has access to the
program elements he or she needs and nothing else.
